BLERICK TREE FARM IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

As of July 1st, Blerick Tree Farm and Country Retreat is now under new ownership. Business continues to trade as usual and all standing orders are remaining current without changes.

Meet The New Owners, Kasey and Steve

Kasey has been working at Blerick Tree Farm for the past five years and now, with her partner Steve, has purchased the business.

Kasey works in the office managing the business as well as working in sales. She can often be found out in the nursery spending one on one time with customers or on the phone providing her years of accumulated knowledge to the customer. Kasey also goes out of the property and conducts on site garden consultations and checks up on previous installations to ensure that our stock is living up to it's full potential.

Steve primarily works out in the nursery, managing and maintaining the stock and grounds. If you book in a tree or turf installation, you will most likely see Steve out on the job. He also has experience in garden maintenance and tree care.

Bare Root Season Has Begun

Bare root trees have finally started coming into stock and are being sorted into individual orders. For those of you with bare root orders, you will be receiving calls shortly to let you know they are ready for pick up or delivery.
 

Transporting and Planting Your Trees

Bare root trees may be dormant, but they still require some care to be taken while they are transported around before they get in the ground again.

What's Looking Great

Nandina 'Gulfstream'

Gulfstream is a vigorous dwarf Nandina. Its' foliage is slightly flatter and delicate looking than many other compact versions. Most notable is the winter color of a brilliant red appearing on the uppermost branches. Summer foliage is dense and a lush deep green.

One very nice feature of Gulfstream Nandina is that it does not tend to spread through sucker shoots like many other Nandina cultivars, which makes it much easier to shape, control, and maintain. This Nandina has proven to be extremely hardy and reliable.

At maturity, it will reach around 1.0m high and wide.

Winter Accommodation

Snow season is here. We still have the odd vacancy in our cosy wood fire cottages if you are looking at a country getaway or day tripping to Mount Baw Baw and it's surrounds.
