Description

Malus ‘Raspberry Spear’ – Ornamental Crabapple

Raspberry Spear is a striking ornamental crabapple with a naturally narrow, upright habit—perfect for adding height and seasonal colour without taking up too much garden space.

In spring, deep pink buds open into masses of vibrant magenta-pink flowers as the new foliage emerges. Its leaves begin a rich dark purple before maturing to dark green through spring and summer, then develop warm bronze and orange tones in autumn. Small purple-red crabapples ripen to bright red and may remain on the tree into late autumn and winter, providing additional colour and attracting birds.

Growing to approximately 5 metres tall and only 2 metres wide, Raspberry Spear is an excellent choice for narrow gardens, driveways, fence lines, courtyards and formal avenue plantings. Its upright shape also makes it a beautiful feature tree where space is limited.
